No, policies prohibit companions from administering medication directly to clients for liability reasons. Companions are able to remind travelers to take their medications at the appropriate times. If a medical situation arises, your companion will seek immediate assistance and stay with you until help arrives. Companions are trained in CPR and First Aid.

• Enhanced Support: The traveler requires moderate assistance and supervision. May include travelers with mild dementia, TBI, SCI, individuals with a disability, or mental health support. (mobility assistance, accessibility coordination, daily routine and medication reminders)

• Personalized Support: The traveler has complex medical conditions, requires significant assistance or supervision. May include travelers with moderate to severe TBI, late stage dementia, significant physical or developmental disability. (extensive accessibility coordination, complex itineraries, intensive individualized support)

You may cancel Travel Companion Services at any time, subject to the terms outlined in your Trip Agreement which is provided with your quote. Reservations and bookings made with vendors, even if booked through Adventures With Ducki, will be subject to the cancellation policies of such vendors.

It is against Adventures With Ducki policy to share hotel rooms or cruise cabins for the safety of both the traveler and companion. An additional room or cabin for the companion must be purchased if travel warrants an overnight stay. Every effort will be made to ensure travelers and their companions occupy either adjoining or the nearest possible rooms available. Adventures With Ducki will establish expectations for overnight communications and availability in advance of the trip. Shared spaces such as Airbnb and VRBO accommodations may be considered in certain circumstances.
